My journey toward holistic health began as a child in Sweden, long before “holistic” was a household term. At age 12, I made a commitment to myself after my beloved grandmother passed away following years of medications and poor health. I vowed to honor my body and spirit, ensuring that I would never grow old in the way I saw others age. I knew—intuitively—that wellness, beauty, and vitality were within reach through nutrition, movement, and a deep connection with nature. And so, I began my lifelong practice of holistic living, which has shaped every part of my life, including motherhood.
From my early years, physical wellness was my anchor. I immersed myself in many forms of movement—swimming, dancing, and athletics—but bodybuilding became my passion. At 16, I began working in gyms, sharing this joy with others. My family moved to Australia, where I earned city, state, and national bodybuilding titles. Fitness became my calling, and I poured my heart into personal training, gym design, and managing some of Australia’s top gyms. When I later moved to California, my path became clear as I discovered my purpose in guiding women toward healthy, empowered pregnancies.
Soon after arriving in California, a client came to me seeking help. She dreamed of a third child but feared another pregnancy after difficult experiences with her first two. We committed to strengthening her body, and her transformation was remarkable. Her third pregnancy was completely different—full of ease, vitality, and joy. She delivered in just three hours, with a calm, healthy baby. This experience touched something deep within me; I felt guided to help more women enjoy these kinds of pregnancies. My heart knew that exercise and holistic living were transformative forces for both mother and child, and that this was the work I was meant to do.
With a vision to create healthier pregnancies and stronger families, I collaborated with forward-thinking OB/Gyn's and specialists in prenatal health to write Expecting Fitness. Physicians like Dr. John F. Kerin, Dr. Jeffrey S. Greenspoon, and Dr. James Clapp shared their wisdom, and Dr. Raul Artal, a pioneer in the field, provided a heartfelt foreword. This book is the culmination of years of study, observation, and my own journey in holistic health. It was a new way forward—a resource for moms who, like me, knew there was a more intuitive, nurturing path to pregnancy and motherhood.
Over the years, I’ve worked with many high-risk clients, developing safe, innovative “bed-rest” exercise programs that provide support and movement for women with restricted activity. My programs have helped women experience healthier pregnancies, smoother labors, and quicker postpartum recoveries. As part of my practice, I developed the Lauren Rotation®, a gentle, effective exercise that helps prevent and relieve back and hip pain. I also created the Healthy Baby Prenatal Vitamin packs, a complete and convenient blend of nutrients that ensures mothers receive the best support possible. This, too, is part of my mission—to make pregnancy joyful, nourishing, and intuitive.
Throughout my career, I have worked tirelessly to advocate for maternal and infant health. I have served on the boards of organizations like the March of Dimes, the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition, and the National Health Federation, championing the cause of maternal wellness, nutritional freedom, and health rights for all. This advocacy is part of my soul’s work, ensuring that women, babies, and families have access to nurturing, wholesome care.
For decades, I prepared my body, heart, and spirit for my own children. After a lifetime of health and holistic practices, I conceived my twin daughters naturally at 53. My pregnancy was a deeply spiritual experience, guided by faith, intuition, and the lifestyle I had cultivated over the years. Despite medical warnings, I followed my knowing. I prayed daily, visualizing health and harmony for my daughters. They arrived at 42 weeks, each weighing 8 pounds—a beautiful manifestation of health, strength, and grace. Motherhood has transformed me, deepened my wisdom, and continues to inspire my work with clients every day.
Since their birth, my daughters have been raised with a focus on holistic learning and well-being. From their first days, I encouraged early development through languages, music, and a home environment that nurtures body, mind, and spirit. At 16 months, they were reading in four languages. Now, at six, they are thriving, curious, and joyful, embodying the lifestyle I have lived and loved.
Today, I offer virtual holistic coaching for fertility, pregnancy, and maternal wellness.
